Disney launches new year-long promotion
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts want to turn travel agents into dream merchants with their newest promotion, "Year Of A Million Dreams". Launched yesterday, the promotion will see cast members at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts awarding 1.2 million prizes, with a value of $17.4 million to unsuspecting park guests over the next 12 months. Prizes include an overnight stay inside Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World or a Mickey Mouse Penthouse at Disneyland, a Golden FASTPASS, private meetings with Disney characters and admission to special parties.

| Senator Max Baucus | Congressional approval has been given a bill that will extend the deadline for passports for land and sea travel within the Western Hemisphere to June 2009 at the latest. The rule, which will require passports, or another high-technology documentation, to enter the United States at land borders was meant to go into effect January 1, 2008 and cruise lines in particular, were concerned that confusion over the new requirements, plus the cost of obtaining a passport, would hurt business.

Signature Vacations has announced that effective October 1 all air only routes will utilize eDocuments. On November 1, eDocuments for package holidays will be launched. Both programmes are available nationally. The electronic documentation will replace the paper tickets currently being issued and will be available within 4 hours of confirmation for all bookings made within 5 days of departure. For bookings made 6 to 30 days prior to departure date and paid in full, eDocuments will be available the next day.
