A dose of warmth for winter
 |
| Cesar Castaneda poses with models from Beaches on Wheels | | The Mexico Tourism Board is putting a little warmth into the northern winter. Beaches on Wheels will be hitting the streets of the coldest cities in Canada, showing the residents of Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Toronto just what they're missing by staying home.Beaches on Wheels are brightly painted, glass sided busses, filled with sand, scaled down versions of palm trees, beach chairs and spa beds made to look like authentic archaeological pieces. Videos of Mexico's attractions play on television screens mounted inside icons of the Aztec Goddess of Flowing Water, Chalchiuhtlicue, while 'archeologists' explore ruins. The buses are also decorated with lush vegetation to reinforce Mexico as a location for adventure and eco-tourism.
