| Christian Lahccen | Air France Canada has announced its new winter schedule for connections from and to Toronto. The flight numbers have also changed: AF 353 for the outbound flight to Paris and AF 352 for the return flight to Toronto. The flights now leave Toronto and arrive from Paris earlier, resulting in time saved for passengers who can avoid Pearson Airport's peak hours and also enjoy an extra half-day of work or leisure the day they return.In addition passengers can save time when they use the airline's web services, such as checking in online from home or the office and skipping the airport check-in counter completely.

| Windstar to install cell phone capabilities across fleet |

Guests encouraged to use cell phones in staterooms only Windstar Cruises has contracted with Wireless Maritime Services to offer cell phone service at sea on its three vessels, starting with the 308-guest Wind Surf in December.In addition to being one of the latest cruise lines to offer the service, Windstar, will have the smallest wired ships on the seas with the 148-guest Wind Spirit and Wind Star. "It's vital to our business that we listen to our customers and keep up with their changing lifestyles and expectations," said Diane Moore, Windstar's vice president of marketing and sales.

Passenger counts will top 40,000 for five days

| Port Everglades | Port Everglades will experience five days this winter season when the passenger counts top 40,000 - a record for the South Florida port. On December 23, Port Everglades expects to break its previous world record with an estimated 46,666 embarking and disembarking passengers. The record of 44,108 passenger moves was set in December 2003. 'We are fortunate to have the infrastructure to handle this volume and the seasoned staff to make it work seamlessly,' said port director Phil Allen.

Vacations an endangered species The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) has endorsed a minimum paid-leave proposal that would protect vacation time in the U.S. ATTA is the first travel organization to officially endorse the paid-leave initiative. The proposed legislation is sponsored by Work to Live, in Santa Monica, California and the Seattle-based Take Back Your Time organization, which celebrated national Take Back Your Time Day on October 24.
