CTHotnews has learned as many as 50 employees at Sunquest have lost their jobs as a result of restructuring at MyTravel North America last week.

Neither MyTravel North America nor Sunquest have released any official confirmation.

However, there have been new appointments announced.

• Karim Nensi has been named CFO.
• Mike Jones has been named president, Lifestyle Vacations International, based in Delray Beach, Florida. He was senior vice-president of sales for Sunquest, ALBATours, Holiday House and Network.
• Flemming Friisdahl is vice-president of sales for Sunquest, ALBTATours, Holiday House and Network.
• Dawn Rzepka becomes director of sales, Eastern Canada. She is responsible for inside and outside sales.
• Pat Biggs becomes director of sales, Western Canada, responsible for inside and outside sales, also reporting to Friisdahl.
• John Kirk, vice-president and general manager retail call centres, is responsible for all retail call centres in MyTravel Canada.
• Paul Dorgan, vice-president, Affiliate Network, is responsible for MyTravel Canada full service retail locations, as well as the MyTravel Canada Affiliate network.
