ACTA FOLLOWS AIR CANADA SLAP WITH PRAISE FOR WESTJET
WestJet supports agents by maintaining commissions

In the most recent edition of its newsletter, SCOOP, ACTA has noted its approval of WestJet's on-going commission payment policy, publishing the following letter from the airline to travel agents. "Since WestJet first took to the skies in 1996, our airline has grown from operating three aircraft serving five Western Canadian cities to offering regular scheduled service to 35 destinations across North America with 55 aircraft today. Since our founding, we have demonstrated unwavering support of our travel agency partners by maintaining commissions while offering more ways for the travel industry to cut costs by booking us on the web.

MYTRAVEL GROUP SHOWS STRONG NORTH AMERICAN PERFORMANCE DESPITE FUEL COSTS
The year-end results for MyTravel North America show another strong performance for the division, with operating profits before exceptional items and goodwill, of $39.2 million Cdn. The results are consistent with last year's results, despite the adverse impact of the grounding of a B767 for technical reasons this past summer; the impact of two serious hurricanes, Emily and Wilma; and the continuing rise in fuel costs.

CANADIAN TRAVEL NUMBERS CONTINUE DOWNWARD TREND
Travel to Canada in October hits 2nd lowest level in nearly 12 years; outbound travel declined nearly 1%; overnights to U.S. hit lowest level since January
Foreign travel to Canada resumed a downward trend in October as Americans and residents of overseas countries, specifically the United Kingdom, took fewer trips to this country, Statistics Canada reported Monday. The trend developed after the Canadian dollar rose against the U.S. greenback this year.

Royal Scenic has announced the addition of SN Brussels Airlines to its roster and provides clients with another choice for flights from Toronto or Montreal to Brussels.
