| Stephen Hunter | | Sunwing’s Stephen Hunter talks to TRAVELHotNews.com about the recent Signature-Sunwing merger and latest layoffs Lisa Raffaele Less than a month after TRAVELHotNews.com reported that Sunwing Travel Group and Signature Vacations, owned by TUI Travel PLC’s First Choice Canada, announced their agreement to amalgamate their Canadian tour operator businesses, TRAVELHotNews.com discovered that a major restructuring was taking place. We asked Stephen Hunter, President & Chief Executive of Sunwing, about the company’s current restructuring plans, the changes being made to the two brands, as well as any staff changes. According to Hunter, a final total with respect to the number cutbacks can not be confirmed, but as of yesterday and today he did verify that the restructuring is now complete in Toronto and Montreal. | AEROMEXICO TO LEAVE CANADA |

AeroMexico to withdraw from Canada
A year after introducing Canadian service, AeroMexico has decided to drop Canada, reported the Globe and Mail. The Mexico City-based carrier started serving Toronto last March and Montreal last April, but has decided to suspend scheduled flights to and from Montreal this past January. Those currently looking at AeroMexico's computer reservation system will now notice that the Toronto route appears to be the next one taken off of the air carrier’s network after a final flight on March 24. Post the AeroMexico withdrawal, Toronto and Montreal clientele will still be able to travel to Mexico via scheduled flights with Mexicana, Air Canada and WestJet Airlines Ltd.

| JAL & AA APPLY FOR ANTITRUST IMMUNITY |

| Japan Airlines (JAL) announced the decision to strengthen its partnership with American Airlines (AA). The carriers, both members of the oneworld alliance, will jointly apply to the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Ministry of Land Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) for the approval of antitrust immunity (ATI) on transpacific routes. Transat re-launches support program for sustainable tourism projects; calls for sustainable initiatives in roughly 60 destinations
For the fourth year in a row, Transat A.T. Inc. is issuing an international call for sustainable tourism projects. The invitation is directed at non-profit organizations based in any of its approximately 60 destination countries, to support sustainable initiatives that contribute to enhancing the tourism potential of a community or region. Transat provides financial support of up to $50,000 per project and has so far committed some $475,000 to the program. AIR CHINA ADDS YVR-BEIJING SERVICE Air China, China’s national airline and official flag carrier has announced it will add three more flights a week in addition to its daily non-stop flights from Vancouver to Beijing. The new flights will begin in June 2010 arriving in Vancouver on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Beijing will depart Vancouver in the early morning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
