ROYAL SCENIC FLIES INTO CHINA & ASIA PACIFIC
Royal Scenic announces the addition of more airline partners; releases new China & Asia Pacific brochure for 2010/2011
Offering more airlines than ever before, in the past three months Royal Scenic has added airline partners such as Air France, KLM, Air New Zealand, El Al and Emirates to their product offerings. With the addition of these new airline partners, Harold Ho, Director of Marketing & Business Development announced that special promotions are available. According to Ho, extra manpower has been added to its operations team in both Eastern & Western Canada to enhance call centre and ticketing services. In addition, the company has released its new China & Asia Pacific brochure for the 2010/2011 season, which will be made available this week. AIR TRANSAT TO SERVE JAMAICA
Canadian government approves Air Transat to service Jamaica; to operate scheduled international air service
The government of Canada has announced that Air Transat has been given approval to operate scheduled international air services between Canada and Jamaica. "I am extremely pleased that we have been able to enhance our air service arrangements with Jamaica," said Peter Kent, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas). "This designation will play an important role in strengthening the people-to-people links between our two countries and contributing to prosperity in both countries." "Today's designation highlights Canada's continued action to provide more options for Canadians when choosing an air carrier to Jamaica," said Canada's Transport Minister John Baird. In celebration of its recent December 15 debut, the new Barceló Los Cabos Palace Deluxe has announced special grand opening rates for travel agents and their friends and family.  Now through May 31, 2010, agents can enjoy a reduced, all-inclusive rate of $70 per person, per night, based on double occupancy, or $112 per night, based on single occupancy, when staying in a Deluxe Junior Suite. Children between the ages of two and 12 can stay for an additional $28 per child, per night, and third and fourth adult guests may also be added to an agent’s reservation for an additional $49 per person, per night. ARUBA TO HOST FIRST EVER FILM FESTIVAL
Aruba has announced that they will host their first ever Aruba International Film Festival (AIFF), which will take place June 4 to 11, 2010. Virgin Limited Edition has welcomed a unique experience with the Necker Nymph,  a DeepFlight three-person aero submarine. Likened to an underwater aircraft, this open cockpit-winged sub is the first of its kind to hit the market. The Necker Nymph offers the unique experience of underwater flight.  It is available either when chartering Necker Belle, the luxury 105-foot catamaran, or when staying on Necker Island, underwater flight on Necker Nymph takes exploration to another level. ROYAL HIDEAWAY PLAYACAR GETS SANDY
Royal Hideaway Playacar has announced that they will be welcoming an additional 200-feet of white-sand beachfront as Mexico’s east coast is expanded and replenished. The $71 US million beach restoration project, which began in the fall of 2009 throughout the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, required more than two thousand tons of pipeline delivering more than one billion gallons of sand to replenish the coastline.  The project, which was funded by both federal and state governments in Mexico, began on September 4, 2009 and is set to be completed on February 10, 2010.
