In the days leading up to the 7th annual Dead Sea International marketing weekend, attendees from 25 countries spent their time hiking along the “David Stream” at Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and National Park, visiting an Israeli kibbutz and frolicking in the mud at a typical Dead Sea mud party. | MERIT, SENECA OPEN UP SHOP |

Merit Travel Group and Seneca College to open on-campus travel agency; gives Tourism and Travel students hands-on experience
Beginning this month, a new partnership between Merit Travel Group Inc. and Seneca will bring a full service travel agency to the Seneca Markham Campus. From this on-campus location, the Merit travel agency will act as a learning resource for students who will participate in the daily operations of a corporate and leisure full-service travel company; research and book air, hotel, and tour packages. The students will benefit from current curriculum in a new Corporate Travel Management course, internship and networking opportunities starting January 2010.

TICO seeks feedback regarding composition of Board of Directors; questionnaire due Jan. 15 TICO has released a statement asking for feedback on the composition of its Board of Directors. TICO is reviewing the industry representation on its Board. The five directors appointed at pleasure by the Minister are not being considered as part of this review.
