Government of Mexico looks out for clients affected by Mexicana’s suspension of operations
Mexico’s secretariats of Communications and Transport, Tourism, Economy and Foreign Affairs announced actions to attend to consumers affected by the temporary suspension of operations by airlines operated by Nuevo Grupo Aeronáutico (Mexicana Airlines, Mexicana and Click Mexicana Link). In a joint press conference, Mexico Tourism Secretary Gloria Guevara Manzo reported that tourism numbers during the last two weeks in the 70 destinations monitored by Sectur were up from the same period in 2008 and 2009, indicating that the country's tourism activity had not suffered interruptions. NEW AIRPORT IN ST. KITTS
St. Kitts announced that a new private air terminal will be built at the island’s Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. Construction of the new terminal is scheduled to begin in February 2011, with FBO (fixed base operations) service operations commencing at the end of 2012.
